Production for Bennett sawmills consists of quality dimension lumber including Douglas Fir, White Fir, Engelmann Spruce, Lodgepole Pine, Idaho White Pine, Inland Red Cedar, and Ponderosa Pine.

At Idapine Mills, our process has been passed down from generation to generation and we continue to take pride in how we get our timber land and timber products ready for you and your family. All of our products are manufactured from the timber that is logged and taken off of both state and private lands. Our main goal is to continue our pursuit in the direction of front line sustainable harvests and clean and suitable production.   All of our timber goes through many  stages before we decide its ready for you. It not only has to pass our inspection and regulations, but also the regulations of the state of Idaho.

SDS manufactures about 100 million board feet of premium quality lumber annually. We produce kiln dried 2×4, 2×6, and 4×4, all of which meet or exceed standards set by the Western Wood Products Association.

SDS’ sawmill uses small, high quality logs. Before logs are sawn, they are scanned three dimensionally and then positioned for optimum recovery. Once sawn, boards are automatically sorted according to size, species and moisture content before they are dried, planed, trimmed, packaged and finally loaded onto trucks and rail cars for shipment. We are constantly upgrading and improving our sawmill to keep pace with new advancements in technology. Waste recovery, fast production, and consistent quality are essential to staying competitive.
